Negri Bossi Supply First Canbio ST to Deyn Plastics

Deyn Plastics Ltd is a family owned business situated on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in the City of Hereford. They specialise in producing plastic core bungs, plugs, suspension end plates and number plates fastenings. They also offer an excellent custom moulding facility.

Canbio ST
Deyn Plastics bought their first Negri Bossi, a Canbio 270 tonne, in 2004. They have since added seven more, replacing older equipment in their production line. This latest edition is a 180 tonne equipped with 60 mm screw and barrel and is the first ST model delivered to a UK customer.
Negri Bossi launched their new Canbio ST range in April of this year. The machines are servo-pump hydraulic powered and available in 180-, 250-, 330-, 400- and 500-tonne models. An important feature of the Negri Bossi servo solution is the implementation of twin servo pumps (single on model ST180). Twin pumps allow simultaneous operation of functions such as ejector and core action during clamp movement, providing the benefits of servo technology without a reduction in machine performance.
Main features of the new range include:
• Touchscreen, user-friendly TACTUS user interface with full range of control parameters
• Smart Flex clamping unit with increased tie bar spacing to accommodate larger moulds and a moving platen that rides on linear bearings for excellent platen parallelism and reduced energy use
• In-line swinging injection unit with quick release barrel
• Highly efficient servo motor driven gear pump system

Sytrama Robots, a subsidiary of the Negri Bossi Group, recently launched the latest `S Series’ incarnation of its proven and reliable full servo three axis robots, helping to further boost unprecedented levels of robot sales in 2015. Available for machines up to 6000 tonnes, the range boasts high end components and the latest SCP2 controller that keeps the ease of use of its predecessor, but is lighter and uses a new field bus “power link” for a very fast communications.

  • High quality components such as BNR motors and drives and SMC pneumatics.
  • New control cabinet provides easy integration with conveyor and guarding functions and allows remote Ethernet connection for diagnostics and software upgrades.
  • High speed connectivity via 38 digital and 2 analogue inputs and 36 digital outputs.
  • New SCP2 Controller is lighter & has a more ergonomical design. It comes with a 7” touch screen, storage for up to a hundred programmes (runs up to ten in parallel) and easy positioning teaching mode. Palletizing routines are also available as standard.
  • Robots can be supplied in longitudinal configuration as well as for Operator / Non-Operator component offloading.
    Side entry variants available for IML and high speed applications.
