RUGBY – 24/03/2015
Craig Ward has been appointed CEO of Negri Bossi SPA, responsible for the financial results and strategic direction of the group which includes Negri Bossi, BM Biraghi, Sytrama and BiPower divisions. The role reports directly to the US holding company Kingsbury.
Craig’s plastics career started with a Polymer Science degree before progressing to Technical Director of Sandretto UK at the age of 26. Since that time he has held directorships in machinery and automation companies both in the UK and abroad and most recently was director for a Luxemburg registered toolmaking company. During this time he gained a wealth of experience in the international plastics sector and he joined Negri Bossi in the June of last year.
To quote Craig Ward, “Negri Bossi is a tremendous company with a history going back some 70 years. We have seen a resurgence in our traditional markets and that combined with strong results in new markets has led to double digit growth. We’re now opening a new subsidiary in Mexico in order to support our growing market position both in Mexico and the USA. We currently have our highest order backlog since 2008 with all our factories working at maximum capacity.”
Craig also pointed out the importance of the UK subsidiary, “Negri Bossi UK has continued to be a reliable subsidiary for the group for many years and their recent performances have been vital to the group. I thank Carl for handing over an excellent subsidiary and look forward to working with Alan Dodds in his new role.”
