Formerly known as R-TEK, but recently taking the name of their parent company in order to reflect its position as part of an international group, Kasai UK now employ 600+ staff at their Washington facility.
Kasai was established in 1991 as a joint venture between the Kasai Kogyo Co. Ltd. of Japan and the French company J Reydel. In August 2012 Kasai Kogyo Co. Ltd became sole owners of R-TEK.
Kasai UK Ltd supplies high quality interior automotive components for Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK and Honda UK Manufacturing from its two plants in the UK. As part of an on-going machine replacement programme, the company has recently replaced an older Negri Bossi IMM with a new V800-4250 Vector series machine. Specified with integrated hot runners and a special profile screw, the machine will produce automotive interior trim components.
Senior Facilities Engineer Rick Dyball commented, “We find Negri Bossi very competitive in price while still supplying a high end machine. Their machines are flexible but robust enough to meet our changing demands. We have worked successfully with Negri Bossi for over 20 years and look forward to many more.”
