Negri Bossi at FAKUMA 2026: High-Efficiency Molding Solutions for the Food and Medical Sectors
Technological innovation, productivity, and sustainability are at the core of Negri Bossi’s participation at FAKUMA 2026, alongside its parent company Nissei Plastic and automation company Sytrama. The event, scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen (Germany) from October 12 to 16, 2026, is a benchmark appointment for the plastics and rubber industry.
In Hall A3, Stand A3-3103, the group will showcase two next-generation injection molding machines, paired with robotic solutions and complete turnkey applications. These systems are fully prepared for smart factory requirements and designed to reduce environmental impact while optimizing molding processes.
In addition to consolidating Negri Bossi’s presence in the German market, the trade show will provide an opportunity to present two demonstration applications dedicated to high-value-added, highly stable sectors: food and medical.
Food – High-Efficiency LSR Molding
The exhibit will feature the NOVA5e110T H1540 (1080 kN) full-electric injection molding machine, equipped with a Sytrama S8 Robot and dedicated to liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding.In collaboration with the German manufacturer of hot and cold runner systems, EWIKON, a 4-cavity food-grade muffin mold will be produced. The manufacturing cell represents a turnkey solution, thanks to the integration of a silicone dosing unit by the renowned German dosing equipment specialist Binks Reinhardt-Technik (with European headquarters in Kierspe, Germany) and a Ravizza Packaging bagging machine that automatically packages the finished product.
Medical – Precision and Process Control
Millimetric precision, total reliability, and absolute process control: these are the pillars of the new technological application born from the synergy between advanced molding technologies and cutting-edge design.
At the heart of the project is the NOVA5e220T-H820 (2160 kN) full-electric press, equipped with a PETEK laminar flow hood, selected for the production of single-dose, reclosable medical bottles. The containers will be manufactured using a high-performance multi-cavity mold developed by BDL.The equipment integrates proprietary, patented mechanical technologies from BDL, specifically developed to ensure high-precision centering of both the cores and the molded component.The system features surface finishes and structured coatings engineered to withstand the most demanding cycles in the medical sector.The mold architecture is completed by a Mold-Masters SymFill hot runner system, configured to ensure perfectly balanced filling in every single cavity.Thermal management and cooling efficiency are managed by a dedicated control unit, a hydraulic circuit monitoring manifold, and the Water Flow Monitor system. The structure relies on a mold base equipped with components from HASCO, BDL’s long-standing technology partner.This high-level application concretely demonstrates how the seamless integration of mold design, digital process control, and system technologies allows manufacturers to easily exceed the stringent quality and regulatory standards imposed by the global medical industry.
The production cell is completed by the new Sytrama rotary robot, which combines efficiency and compactness in a cutting-edge design. Its simple and essential structure is specifically engineered to guarantee maximum operational reliability and immediate integration into any production line. Thanks to its high movement speed, the unit drastically increases company productivity and slashes cycle times.
The system is ideal for cleanroom applications, thanks to a robust construction made primarily of stainless steel and anodized aluminum; its completely smooth surfaces eliminate any potential areas for dust and contaminant accumulation at the root. The entire system is contained within extremely small footprints—an engineering choice that optimizes available space and enables compact industrial automations without ever compromising on overall performance.
The stand will also feature a conveyor belt by MB Conveyors and solutions for dehumidification and dosing branded PIOVAN and Eurochiller.
