GEOGRAPHICALLY BASED ENGINEERS

Our Engineers are geographically based to ensure fast response to any call. In this way the engineers are able to develop a good working relationship with their customers and an understanding of their service requirements.

We will now be charging a fixed price for each of our engineers to visit your site. This will benefit all of our customers so that they will know in advance the travel charge for any particular engineer we have available. As well as no additional charges for unexpected delays due to traffic issues, this system will help our customers to budget in advance for any particular scenario.

Prices do not include labour charges and are based on Monday to Friday standard working hours.

AMICO Teleservice

THE NEGRI BOSSI AMICO NETWORK

AMICONetworkArtThe innovative technological approach of Negri Bossi has allowed AMICO to be created, a remote control assistance service able to connect directly to the brain of the machine using the most advanced communication technology.

The Negri Bossi Ltd Call Centre receives your call for assistance, analyses and solves the problem using a direct connection to the machine. A true revolution that reduces downtime, making your work easier.

The Negri Bossi AMICO network allows the creation of an environment in which the customer can be provided with two kinds of service:

Remote Services

  • Remote assistance
  • Software upgrade
  • Helpdesk

Remote Assistance

  • Operation with the machine terminal in completely remote mode;
  • Checking of behaviour of all machine components;
  • Checking of machine status at the moment of an alarm;
  • Modification of the component parameters on the CAN network;
  • Initialisation of the components on the CAN network;
  • Modification of machine parameters and I/O configuration files;
  • Commands to be sent to the machine.

Image-11At our Rugby base we stock almost two thousand items covering the full range of Negri Bossi machines.

In addition to this, each service engineer carries a comprehensive set of parts.

Spares sales, purchasing and stores are computer controlled and parts are usually despatched the same day to the method chosen by the customer.

Process Support

Image-14Negri Bossi Ltd has a dedicated process support engineer who is available to help you with the troubleshooting of any process problems.

In addition he is able to give telephone support with the possibility to utilise the AMICO Teleservice System to directly act on your machine settings.

The process engineer is always available to assist with, or carry out, tool trials either at your premises or at our showroom.

Image-16At our facility in Rugby, we have recently built a new showroom facility that facilitates a selected range of Negri Bossi  machines to be on permanent demonstration. We also utilise this area for tool trial facilities, Open Houses and Seminars.

The AMICO Teleservice system is always available for viewing.

Quality machines need quality service. Keep your machines in optimal running condition with the help of our  specialised service engineers. A key to safeguarding your machines performance is an effective planned  maintenance agreement.

No Hidden Costs

You can spread the cost with easy monthly payments with no interest to pay – so you won’t have to face an inconvenient bill, or if you prefer, you can pay in one lump sum. You do not need to worry about price rises during the terms of your Service Plan, the costs will be fixed from the day you sign up. So, not only will you be able to budget easily for the cost of servicing, you could also save money.

CUSTOMER TRAINING

Negri Bossi Ltd provides customers with a selection of training courses designed to optimise your plant operations by providing your machine operators with the best training available. We have on our staff a dedicated training officer who performs all of our training courses, which are held either at our Rugby facility or on-site at the customer’s facility.

We have available four standard training courses, and also offer the ability to customise training courses to fit the needs of our customers.

The four standard Training Courses that we offer are:

Course 1

TRAINING COURSE 1

Machine Appreciation & Setting

 


Duration: 2 Days (9.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.)

People who should attend:
Tool fitters, trainee setters, first line setters.

Skill level:
Delegates should have a basic knowledge of the machines and the injection moulding process. Please note that the course does not cover lifting and installation of the mould.

Objectives:
Delegates should attain the ability and confidence to efficiently set the machine to achieve a consistent product with care and consideration given to the machine, material and mould tool.

Syllabus:

  • Machine Appreciation and Function (COLUMBIA and/or ORION control systems)
  • Injection Moulding Cycle – The importance of:
    • Basic Materials
    • Injection Moulding Machine
    • Melt Preparation
    • Filling Phase
    • Holding Pressure Phase
    • Cooling Time
    • Quality Defects

Course 2

TRAINING COURSE 2

Advanced Optimisation

 


Duration: 2 Days (9.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.)

People who should attend:
Process technicians, team leaders, supervisors, foreman and managers.

Skill level:
Delegates should have a good knowledge of the process and machines, possibly with several years of setting experience. The course includes both theory and practical demonstration.

Objectives:
Delegates should gain the ability and knowledge to optimise processing conditions, machine capability, advanced machine functions, trouble shoot problem areas and identify material from a raw state to comply with production requirements.

Syllabus:

  • Brief overview of machine construction, operator protection and the control systems
  • Advanced navigating the control system
  • Quality control and process analysis
  • Optimisation of clamp unit set-up and mould protection
  • Advanced ejection and core pull set-up
  • Theory and optimisation of the plasticising and injection phases
  • Alternative methods of injection change-over
  • Polymer classification – Amorphous and Crystalline
  • Trouble shooting

Course 3

CANBIO Series Machine Maintenance & Diagnostics


Duration: 2 Days (9.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.)

People who should attend:
Qualified and/or experienced maintenance engineers.

Skill level:
Delegates should have a good understanding of machine maintenance, fault finding, electrical and hydraulic systems and drawings.

Objectives:
Delegates should gain the ability to follow the CANBIO Series machine’s hydraulic and electrical drawings, understand the general operation of the COLUMBIA control system, utilise the onboard diagnostics systems, replace some of the control boards and perform some calibrations.

Syllabus:

  • Introduction to Negri Bossi
  • General overview of the machine’s physical layout
  • General introduction to the COLUMBIA control system
  • The use of the machine’s alarm systems
  • The use of the machine’s diagnostic systems
  • Operation of the machine’s safety systems
  • Maintenance of the machine’s safety systems
  • Maintenance of mechanical parts
  • Maintenance of the hydraulic system
  • The operation of the automatic toggle lubrication system
  • The hydraulic circuit
  • All the electrical diagrams supplied with the machine

For Training at our Rugby Location

  • Minimum two (2) delegates
  • £900 + vat per delegate per course

 

For Training Performed at Customer’s Premises

  • Maximum eight (8) delegates
  • £2,500 + vat per course plus Travel/Hotel Expenses.

Please note:

  • Customised courses can be arranged. Please discuss these with your Area Sales Manager who will make the necessary arrangements.
  • Hotel expenses are not included. We can provide a list of suitable local accommodation.
  • Lunch and refreshments will be provided for delegates on all Rugby courses.
  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing.
  • Invoices are sent upon completion of the course. Payment is required within 30 days from date of invoice.
  • There will be no charge for the cancellation of a booking or transfer to a later event, provided the request is received no less than 14 days prior to the start of the course. If the cancellation or transfer occurs after this time then 75% of the full course fee is applicable. Substitution of an alternative delegate is allowed at any time.
