From the technological experience of Negri Bossi comes a range of solutions that satisfies all your multi-component molding needs.
Negri Bossi MultiMat® multi-component injection molding machines can be equipped with up to six injection units and each injection unit can be controlled independently. As a result, complete freedom of choice with regard to the type of mould that can be designed and used is possible.
From very small to very large plastic molded parts for virtually any end market… Negri Bossi offers a complete range of molding solutions for multi-component molding requirements.

Any of the above injection unit configurations can be combined with one of the other types. For example, a machine can be supplied with both Parallel and Lateral configured injection units.
In addition to the choice of injection unit positions, Negri Bossi MultiMat® multi-component molding machines can be configured with multiple ejector plates to allow ejection from one side of the mold.

Lateral Positioning Device
LATERAL POSITIONING DEVICE
For those multi-component projects that require a MultiMat® Parallel injection unit solution, it is sometimes difficult to obtain the required return on investment with a dedicated multi-component machine, particularly when the project life is limited.
Negri Bossi has solved this problem by offering a Lateral Positioning Device. This is a special option available with a parallel injection unit configuration that repositions the injection unit sleds, moving one of the injection units back to the centerline of the machine. With this device, and with a central injection aperture in the fixed platen, it is possible to use the molding machine in either a MultiMat® multi-material mode or conventional mono-material mode, which ensures that the machine can be fully utilized.
Rotary Tables
ROTARY TABLES
To compliment Negri Bossi MultiMat® multi-component machines, we offer a range of rotary tables that can be controlled by hydraulic or electric servo-motor. The use of a rotary table provides improved precision and greater range in the positioning of the mold, and also enhances adaptability to the specific needs of the mold in use.
The rotary table can be either fully integrated into the molding machine, which includes controlling the table rotation using the molding machine controller, or as a separately controller independent unit.
Rotary tables are available with a range of options including water circuits, hydraulic oil circuits, air circuits and electrical circuits by means of a slip-ring device. The number of circuits supplied as standard depends on the size of the rotary table.
When the integrated solution is selected, this includes proper installation of all pipes, wires and connectors for the various circuits, all terminated at an easily accessible connection plate.
A rotary table can be used for 180º (2-shot), 120º (3-shot), or other molding scenarios.

Special Ejection
SPECIAL EJECTION
Some multi-component projects require the MultiMat® molding machine to be configured with a special ejector plate design, or even with independently-operated dual ejector plates. The Negri Bossi engineering team is able to provide a full range of special ejection solutions and, because of the excellent versatility of the ejector/core pull software, multiple ejector control circuits are easily implemented.
